Your truck is in great shape for being a NY vehicle ~ it's a wonder it survived salted roads..! Or, did you buy it & ship it from Arizona..?I'm a little envious, it's got high back bucket seats & a cab light for the bed area... Sharp..!

I had to finish the job but there's no way I was taking the cab off to take care of the front end of the frame and the other components. I did the best I could by raising the front, removing wheels and mud guards and scrubbing away at all the places I could reach, everything except the exhaust. Followed up with oven cleaner degreasing treatment and power wash, then rust reformer and undercoating. Hopefully this will keep any significant rust away for a few years.
I also removed the fenders to reach the front of the rocker panels and deal with some rust that was starting to eat away at the sheet metal, and also some surface rust between the fender and the wheel well panel.
I realized that I'm missing the front part of the under cover, so I guess I'm on the lookout for one of those now

I'm done with this project. It took a lot of work, but I was expecting that. All in all I'm pleased with it, I'm sure it's not a "lifetime warranty" type of job, but I think it probably added a few years to this trucks expected shelf life. I treated and repainted every inch of the rear portion of the frame (the front is next) and every element attached to it, I also did the underside of the bed. The bed goes back on tomorrow.
I'll probably take the bed off again in a couple years to do some retouching as necessary.
As always, thanks for the advice.
