    3000GT brackets are a similar shape, but they won't work. They flanges aren't wide enough on the front where the screws go.

    I'd be careful with the Galant brackets. The plastic dash is carrying the whole weight of the radio. The notch in the rear of the factory brackets slides over a metal frame further back in the dash. That helps to carry the weight of the radio and reduces the fatigue on the plastic.

    It will work for me because of the radio I'm going to use. I'm just using a Pioneer digital media player with Bluetooth, no CD player, it's the smallest and lightest car stereo I've ever seen. I still do plan on adding some support though.
