I am trying to research shaving the body line on a 86 d-50. Also looking to bob the bed at some point. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Which body line - top of fenders, or mid body? What about the drip rails and the taigate handle? I have an old mag with a how-to on shaving the driprails and doing the "floating side markers" like I did on Geronimo that I will be scanning and posting shortly.

I am talking about the upper body line that comes outward to a point on my 86 d-50. I am also wanting to bob the bed a few inches. I have always dealt with body lines that are recessed like on s10's where you would just tack a piece of steel into the recession and so on. Any help will be outstanding. Not rushing this just want to make sure its done right if I do it.
Is this somtheing you are talking about? Here is 1 foot removed.

I think so. That is the body line I am talking about for sure. Are you shortening your bed?
There was 1 foot cut from the rear. Then added 7" to the width.
I have no bed just the sides. I don't know how much you can take off before you loose the spar tire.

Don't need a spare tire. It will just get drug off anyhow. lol! So my goal is to shorten the bed around 7-8 inches. I have been researching and from what I have read I will basically have to z it to keep it looking right. As far as the body line goes I can't find anything that pertains to the body line we have.
