Hi all
I went to the gas station and my Truck totally died. It started up fine for not having been started for about a month.
When I went to restart everything you died with the first turn of the key. I cannot even get the radio or fan to come on.
I figured it was a dead battery but still nothing functions even with the jumpers and a now charged battery.
All of the fuses under the dash are good.

Does any one know where I should even start to look for my power loss?

First place to check is the ground cable from the battery. They get corroded and then there's no continuity.

p.s. -
Just for the record, I'm a carpenter :)

Ground cable is clean at both spots

There is a fusible link that is off of the positive terminal that goes into the harness - it looks like a piece of wire with connectors on it. If that fails, the truck goes dead. you can jump it out with a piece of wire until you can get a new one or replace it with a fuse holder with the correct fuse.

you were close.
The lead coming off of the battery splits to two wire (I think)
the white wire's connector was crummy, looked a little burnt or tarnished.
Cleaning it got the truck running again.
