Jones463, I have looked for a long time, checked prices on rebuilding mine, But NO ONE will give a for sure answer until they take it a part.
I'd shit brick if they said come get your tranny, By the way your cost is $1500 :o

I just kept my eye on Craiglist.
Everyone knows when I bought this truck back on the mightyd50(long time ago). Mike even offered me some good used parts for free to rebuild mine.
So Mike the cat is now out of the bag, I know where your heart is, now everyone knows! Tough guy....lol

today ... well yesterday now lol i installed my shiny new weber dfav 32/36 from weber direct. warning to all if you buy the wk611 kit, it already comes with the 2.5in intake filter. judging by the picture it looks like its the 1.75in filter but its not. now i have an extra air cleaner lucky me lol. also i ran into some issues with the throttle cable mounting bracket, apparently they dont have one mounted on the carb like the stock carb so my next challenge is to fab one or find a universal that will fit my application aside from that the truck's running strong and hopefully it stays like this.

I took an hour today, removed the carburetor, I think for the 5th time and send it back to National Carburetors tommorow under warranty,(it did go 1500 miles) carb is flooding, removed the fuel pump, leaking oil, was replaced somewhere else, I thought these things suppose to use 2 gaskets, I didn't find one after removing it? Removed the valve cover and waiting on my valve seals and why I'm at it looks like the distributor O ring is leaking as well. Down for 2 weeks. Got to get it ready for the longest yard sale in August. :D

Pulled out the parts to level out the 80 d-50 - belltech drop coils, the JB coils the drivers side lost tension and is sagging 1 1/2 inches lower than the right. Also got out the chrome bumper to put in on in place of the pink one; I need it to put on the 86 like warme wanted me to...

Lol, I'm about to take off my bumper and roll pan it. Today I put a nice new leather steering wheel in my Mighty Max. Its practically the same leather that comes in King Ranch Ford Trucks. Power Leather buckets on the way soon. Also ordered a new chrome grill for the Mighty Max today too.
