hrmmm. It seems the 16V was available in the mighty max .... according to JDMEngineDepot at least ...

can't find a good clear pic of the eclipse version tho.

general rule of thumb for 4G64's tho.
If your spark plugs are located by the exhaust manifold you have an 8 valve
If your spark plugs go in through the valve cover you have a 16 valve

it turned out to be out of time by a hair. got the timing right and she fired right up... but now we have a bad injector. nothing a little money can't fix =)

SOO happy to have my MMM alive again!

What i've found with FI engines is that if they sit for months/years the injectors get gummed up and don't 'pulse' correctly (well, stay shut) and if you 'test' for pressure by slightly loosening the regulator, you will see it spray but that doesn't mean that it's going into the intake tract.

On my 2.6 i had the dizzy 180 out. RAN like crap and I figured that I messed it up somewhere. Found it and now runs nice.

Run some injector cleaner thru it.

thx tye.. and yes it feels damn good.. i finally got to drive her.


and 77amc you are correct. we just got finished rebuilding the injectors. runs even better now =) so thanks!
