time for a new engine?

Alot of good ideas. I was also thinking about a 302 ford swap, but sold that engine to a guy with a mustang. But I still have the 351/C4 combo. There is alot involed with that type of swap and didnt want my Max off the road that long at that time. It is also a 4WD.
I would rethink the body swap idea, I can swap the engine in a day. It seems like alot of extra work to do a body swap.

Don't wanna just rebuild? Can always go with a g64b block 4g63 head. Or full 4g swap with a 2.0 rwd trans.

another option is put the running motor in your truck
and try to stuff the 302 into the other body
then you would have your cake and eat it too

I too would rebuild the stocker. Just to get the truck running again, ya know? You can always take the 302 and build that up on the side while gathering parts and researching for the swap. Just my two cents. I've thought of running a V8 but to be honest, with the weight, I'm better just boosting a 4 banger!

ok.. to clear things up...

My Mustang.. still my daily driver. still well taken care of. still loved dearly.

My Mighty Max.. still worked on frequently.. i just don't have the tools or a shop to do a rebuild in. waiting as i save money to get it rebuilt.

My Dakota.. is STILL ON THE TRAILER it came home on! [but apparently its the new 'MOST IMPORTANT' thing to me.]

i haven't dumped anything for anything! AND the reason i'm not on the site as often is because i am IN SCHOOL. between school, work, and having no internet at home, it makes it hard to put time on this site.

sorry if this seems rude to anyone, but ya'll are passing judgement on me wayyy before ya'll know the facts.

Hows school? The only thing I liked about it was getting out of work early. Take your time on the rebuild to avoid mistakes by jumping the gun. Hope everything goes well.
