    will a ford 4.0 v6 bolt up to a km145?

    The fm145 bellhousing should be the same as the km145 right?

    that fm145 could be a mazda tranny not a mitsu tranny - take the measurements for the bolt holes on the back of the block and compare it to the km145

    Google the km145 rebuild kit, these also were used by Ford in the Mustangs. <--- edit, I couldn't find the fact on the Mustang, but did find the Ranger and Bronco.
    Like Pennyman said, the casing are different but the guts are identical.
    Keep googling, this information is out there. (edit, It took me only minutes to find this info, but I read it 10 years ago).
    It's like the Isuzu pup gen 1 windshield and seal is used in the d50 and max gen 1.
    This is their way of saving in tooling cost as a group.
