Im gonna say that yes it will bolt up but you have to use a mix match of parts for the clutch n flywheel. If I remember correctly. The g54 2.6 liter is a wide block just like the 4g64 2.4. The g63b 2.0 and 4g63 2.0 dohc are narrow block. If you search around here in posts and the wiki youll probably find what youre lookin for. Also try projectzerog.com
Does anyone have a 4g64 near Salem Oregon they would be willing to part with?
This looks fairly easy but now im a little concerned about the 6/7 bolt thing. From what I can see it should be fine to run a 7 bolt as long as I get the flywheel modified to accept a pressure plate from a g54b right? It will be going in a first gen 4wd at stock height so I need the sump to clear the axle also.
that was up to 86 - 87 they changed to wide block.

No they didnt, both my 87 and 89 had a narrowblock 2.0 g63b
I stand corrected - sorry for the confusion. But then, owning a mitsu truck is to live with confusion.
