New to me 4X4 truck, powertrain questions

I just obtained a 1987 4X4 truck in non running condition (no engine). I’ve got a couple questions I could use help with as I attempt to restore it.

First, this vehicle has power steering and the engine I will install in it never did. Any idea where I can get the bracket that holds the power steering pump on the engine? Or if not, can I get a photo of where it goes and what crank pulley it uses? I can probably fab a bracket if needed.

And second, how can I be sure my engine will mate to this transmission (wide vs narrow block) - are there dimensions I can check before getting in to this?

After looking at the engine specs wiki section of this site, I got the answer to my 2nd question, both vehicles are wide-block.

I actually found the power steering bracket at the site https://www.megazip.net/ which sells parts and ships from Japan. The bracket is spendy but I’ll probably go for it. Anyone heard of that site and know if it’s legit.?

Megazip is legitimate, but also look at Amayama and PartSouq. I've purchased from all three. I found Megazip to be the most expensive, but it has specials which help somewhat. Amayama was the least expensive of the three, but availability searches and EMS-only shipping make it very slow. PartSouq was only slightly more expensive and it has Fed-Ex shipping making it my preferred supplier.
Whichever foreign source you choose, be sure to assess the impact of the Trump tariffs. The country of manufacture base tariff and the end of the de minimus exemption could double the cost of the bracket and shipping.

Also, have any of you fitted a 2.6L engine from a 2WD to a 4WD truck? Any mods needed to fit? Oil pan okay?

The oil pans are different, so you'll need the 4wd pan to clear the front diff and cross arm link. Can't think of anything else that differs between the two configurations with the same engine.

Okay FMS, good thing I am retired and have time on my hands because Shelton WA is nearly 5 hours from here each way. So I drove over there and checked it out. It's interesting that so many Ram 50s / Mighty Maxes have ended up in one place. I didn't buy anything yet but I'm still thinking about it. Just the visual education looking over 4WD trucks and parts, and seeing what he has available made it worth the trip.

Power Steering gearbox is different also need the fluid lines 'n reservoir... My 1986 truck has steering gear mounted outside the frame later model truck its mounted inside the frame (I think?)
