    1989 G54B D50 4x4 with no spark...

Looking for some specs & troubleshooting info better than my Haynes manual...
I doesn't show a 2.6 in '89, very disjointed and confusing. Wanting some primary, secondary coil specs and something for ignitor/distributor and resistor components. Hayne has a lot of specs, nothing I can zero in on.
She's suddenly dead, coasted into CFN last night, no start next AM. towed to Best friends shop and when I put my plug tester in and peeked thru hood gap it started! Plugged back onto #4 and started & ran for 25sec and died. Zero spark and steady pwr to coil. no output from coil. Didn't have jumpers or long enough eyes to see if distributor is pulsing. Help me!
    Thanks everyone.

The 2.6L for '89 should be the same as '87-88. Sounds like most likely a failing coil, or maybe the ICM unit inside the distributor.

I like the Herko B108 coil, reasonably priced and been reliable for me so far [knock wood]:

I disassembled the mounting bracket on mine and reassembled it with the coil flipped the other way around for easier wire routing.

This thread covers everything about coil and ballast resistor wiring:
