    Power Window Conversion

    Hey everyone.

Looking to convert to power windows. My window cranks are a bit chewed up and the after market handles the previous owner put on don't stay on. I could drill and thread the cranks and run a bolt through them or loctite, but they rattle a good amount as well and reaching over to roll the window down for my dog gets old. Looking to clean up the interior/get it quieter/add some creature comforts anyways.

I saw this thread where some guys discussed this in 2011. I was curious if these kits are worth it or if anyone knows if they're torque-y like pennyman said. And whether or not a power regulator from other cars would work instead (like the 1st gen Montero). Seems like a more elegant solution anyways.

I have never used the kit. But the only thing that holds on the handle is a clip. They probably need replacing. You can also use a peace of paper to hold them on tighter. Just like the way we hold a bolt in a socket that is hard to reach.
