    Electrical Issues When Starting

    Hello everyone,

Having an electrical issue when trying to start my truck. Thought it was a bad starter motor so I ordered a replacement. If it were just the starter, other components should power up still though right? Is it a bad ignition module instead? Battery is healthy and no fuses blown. Ran fine morning of. Parked it, wouldn’t start again.

    any leads are appreciated

Yeh, other components should still get power just fine even if the starter isn't working. If the battery is fully charged with clean and secure terminals and grounds, but you get no power to anything with the key on, I might suspect a bad ignition switch. Note you can replace just the electrical switch portion of the ignition without having to replace the entire key cylinder and lock assembly; it just pulls out from the left side of the steering column, held in by 1 screw IIRC.
