90 2.4 Oil pressure sensor - idiot light switch

    Question,

any performance benefit for having a new oil pressure sensor installed ? For the cluster light

wanting to switch mine out since mine has miles on it and idk when the last time original owner did it.

also is it a pretty straight forward repair or anything to worry about when changing it ?

Performance Benefit? Not that I know of. They're pretty cheap, not a bad idea just for peace of mind. I've done it twice now, the original one was leaking, and the replacement one failed and gave a false "no pressure" less than a year after installing. Super straightforward, just turn the old one out, put some sealer on the new one and turn it back in. It'll drip a little bit of oil but not a lot.

    awesome 👏

yeah I seen then have the echilin brand at Napa for like 7$ but it’s like 3$ since I work for the city and get a discount lol . My old one works fine but I did see some oil residual on it (may start to go out) so I figured lemme swap it out for peace of mind and I figured it can’t hurt.

I figured changing it out may be good just to make sure the proper oil pressure is getting dispersed.
