    Hm, not sure if a stroker crank and rods are even available for these engines, but maybe you could find high-compression (e.g. domed) pistons?

    if I understand things correctly the crank from the 6 bolt 4G64 is a direct replacement for the 4G63 crank ( both 8v 6 bolt )
    pistons are available using this crank and standard rods combined with the twin cam VR4 head(16v )
    but whether the Pistons to suit the VR4 head will work with an 8v head , I’m not sure about
