Seat Belt Light
on my '88 ram 50 I am having an interesting problem. My seat belt light randomly comes on while driving. At first I figured it was a ground issue, since it sometimes is brighter than others or blinks a few times, but it doesn't coincide with any other electrical activity that I can tell.
I figured I would just pull the bulb out and fix it that way, but didn't want to do that if there may be another underlying issue.
Any ideas?

I would guess the switch in the buckle is warn down.

are they repairable? or is my best bet to pull the bulb. I always wear the seatbelt, so I don't need the reminder to put it on.

at the floor, unplug the seat belt wire. Or jumper it I don't remember.

jumpered this finally yesterday while I had the seat out. The light still comes on randomly, so I guess there must be a wiring issue. I've dealt with it long enough now that I barely notice it, still don't want to tear into the harness to trace it, but if other issues start popping up I won't have a choice. Hopefully it's just a loose connector somewhere.
