    Montero 3.0 stalling

Hi guys! I just scored a '92 Montero with the 6G72 V6. The thing fires right up and idles well, but when I step on the gas pedal it stumbles badly (and dies, if I don't finesse it). After that initial hesitation it seems to take off OK. Haven't driven it yet as there are no plates on it. Awaiting a 12-pin OBD1 adapter from Amazon, guess I could hook up a test light and count blinks if I have to (There is a CEL).
Any pointers about what I should look at first?

Lots of variables. Bad gas, TPS, air leak, etc.

Take a look at the fuel filter.
