    85/86 Deluxe D50 parting out

I’m not a 1st gen guy myself but found this 85/86 Sport type truck in the local scrapyard if you need something I’ll talk to the owner and try to work something out.

Just off the top of my head the body was rough bed cluttered, old camper crooked on the bed and holding water the interior was complete, dirty but sheltered in fair shape all glass was in the cab, windows up. Noticed it’s had gauges/tach on the speedo more gauges in the dash below the radio see pics.

2.6 A/C M\T high back buckets in fair shape (repairable), chrome towing mirrors the engine looked intact. I want the 2 stock 15” 5 slot wheels to make a set but that’s all the rest seems to be mostly 1st gen stuff that’s no good to me. If I get enough interest I’ll pull the truck over to my place to part it out it sucks working out of a tool box away from the garage on the big stuff. PM any questions and I’ll pass them on to the owner and go from there.

I’ll get some pics up ASAP off of my phone.

Window regulators it sounds like. I’ll go back in the morning and check them out no problem.

I'll take a quote on the center console. Just the front part with the gauges. That cluster looks decent. I already have one, but I'd think someone on here would want to snap that up pretty quick.

Dash top has 3 big cracks in it. Both Windows went up and down no problem . I just bought the truck so I can tow it home to part it out in the shop with my jacks and air tools. I ripped up my shoulder and bruised some ribs last month and working with one arm sucks. Had to pick up a DeWalt 1/2 impact to get anything done trying to pull a trans and rear end out of that 92 D50.

I need to look at the bed over closer it was more solid then I first thought its parked in the weeds I need to pull it home for a good going over it’s crowded with other vehicles and dirt piles around it. It has a topper that looks like it’s for a short bed on it plus junk in the bed so I need some elbow room.

The camper looks trashed it’s the same type as the one in that junkyard crawl video thats up on here now I found that ironic.

I'd be interested in the guage cluster (if it will work in a 2.6L 4x4) and all the center console parts.

Here is what I can tell you it’s out of a 86 4X4 D50 2.6 manual trans that I picked up to part out never had it running so I’m not sure what works for sure. The plastic center console is solid no cracks or splits in the plastic it needs a good cleaning this model has a removable hold down bracket that will come with its not the welded to the floor type. I took a pic of the wire loom hookups if that helps to match your plugs. The center counsel had plugs also for those gages also. The dash to the floor piece will separate from the floor part of it with just a few screws. It mounts with a couple screws in the dash the bracket screws into the floor 2 screws below the dash into the hump and some screws towards the back of the hump part.
Any other questions or photos needed just let me know.

can you get the wiper switch harness from the switch through the column? I have a good switch, but I sold the truck off before I pulled the harness for it from the donor truck.

Hey Lawdog, thanks for sharing! If there's still a 15" steel chromie wheel left I would love to buy it from you. I have a set of 3 and would love to complete it. I also need an AC control switch from a Gen 1 truck and the hi/ low beam / turn signal switch assembly from the steering column if you still have those?

My back 2 wheels were damaged in the fire on my “tank truck” like you I need 2 to make a set they are tough to find, I’m checking out a yard that has some gen1 trucks soon hoping to find some more wheels then. Just got home from work I’ll get out there later today and round up what I can for you.

These the right items? It had intermittent wipers if that matters?
