    Lifter/pushrod cover gasket

I'm drizzling eng oil from my lifter cover plate on a '89 2.6L.
240K with plenty blowby. Any suggestions on a source for gaskets-bolt seals?
Maybe an added VC breather to dump those pesky vapors? Vented oil filler cap, heh heh.
    Thanks good people.

The bolt grommets are available from Rock Auto, eBay, Napa, etc. but you might just as well replace the other valve cover gaskets. too. Get a quality valve cover kit and avoid the cheap ones - they don't last.

Check the hose from the top rear of the valve cover to the air cleaner, and the hose from the carburetor base to the PVC valve. Make sure they're clear and clean. Also check the PVC valve. It should rattle. If it doesn't, clean or replace it. That should help deal with the blow-by effects.

Thank you FMS88. I want to re gasket the side plates too. Haven't looked anywhere yet but recall advice on buying quality sets. It's well worth the money. Thanks again.

Reading your second post I realized you're asking about the side cover that accesses the upper balance shaft and located below the intake manifold. The cover gasket P/N is MD020239 and the bolt "o" rings are MD020256. Both appear available individually from foreign and domestic suppliers. They're also in the lower engine (conversion) gasket kits sold by RockAuto. Might be better to get the kit since it includes timing cover, pan and other gaskets you may need later, and a kit might not be that much more expensive than purchasing the cover gaskets separately.

Can recommend Fel-Pro # VS50146R which includes the valve cover gasket, hold-down bolt grommets, and half-moon plug for the rear of the head.

No luck thru NAPA suppliers, O,Really shows a Fel/Pro # but no stock.
A parts stud emailed asking if it could be ordered, hear the crickets chirping? So, anywhere specific I should look? Rock Auto has some conversion sets that are dirt cheap so I'm looking for some opinions.
Please. If my route is ChingGau Cheap so it is. Thanks good people's.

Auto-parts chains may not have it in stock at your local shop, but their warehouses do, so they should be able to special-order it for ya, maybe bring up their product page on yr phone to show them:

...plus there's always Amazon or eBay:

Rock Auto is probably your best bet. If you're going with a conversion set, the Asuja 54042100 and APEXACS2008 sets include the side cover and bolt 'o' rings you're looking for. Plus here's a discount code you can use to save a dollar or so: Code 227962596204907328.
