Looking up the front side of the gas tank for the fuel filter, I see two things that look like filters.
Are they both filters and need replacing or is one of them have something to do with vapor recapture?

The smaller one is actually a check valve that prevents fuel from flowing from the tank in event of a rollover up the vapor lines.
