84 Ram 50 front pad replacement

Trying to do some homework before new front brake pads show up. After removing the 17mm bolts and taking the caliper off, will the pads drop out without removing anything else? What is the torque for the 17mm bolts? Red Loctite on the bolts? I searched 20 pages of the forum for a how to and did not find one.

    thanks for the help

ok...sorry...I was a little quick in sending my post. I also need to replace the rotors. So any clues as to how those come off? Initially it looks like you have to take the hub off? that does not seem very easy to do. What can you tell me?

    thanks

Ok...I found the 1st gen service manual that shows how to replace the pads and rotors. However, to replace the rotor you have to remove the Hub and bearings and seals. I have probably just exceeded my level of incompetence.

    thanks
