2nd gen. Dead short left (drivers side) back up light.

After what tests I did, seems there's a short somewhere to that side. Any clue where to start looking? Would it be between the 2? I have a manual, just thot maybe there's a typical problem area to begin the search.

It pops the fuse immediately whether plugged or unplugged at the trans switch.

Anything changed recently? Like tail light globes - using the wrong globe can do some weird stuff (installing a single filament in a dual filament globe bayonet can cause electrical faults)

Nothing had changed, I suspect they've not been working for some time.

If it’s happening before the switch then it’s between the fuse and switch. Trace back along the harness for something pinched
