My synopsis is - if it whines when off or on throttle, it would probably be an input bearing. If it only does it on the clutch pedal, my bet is it'll be the thrust/throw out bearing on the clutch fork. If it sounds like an old roller skate, the throw out bearing is most likely worn out.
