I thought I should post this, maybe someone else will benefit.
It was getting uncomfortable driving in cold weather because air was drafting in everywhere through the dash. Heater is working but you had to have it at "full blast" to keep warm. So today I decided to look in to this, expecting to have to take off the dash and look for air leaks, control door issues, etc.
But the whole thing was caused by the main duct from the blower being loose and this is easy to access thru the glove box door. Here's what it looks like (after I put the duct back in place):
