    Power Steering Conversion

I have a 1988 D50 with manual steering. Currently it is a bear to drive because the steering is really hard. Took to a tire store thinking the tires were wrong size causing hard steering. They recommended replacing the steering box. I got the truck from my dad and it has always been a bugger to steer.
Is there a conversion for power steering on this truck, or does anyone have a suggestion to make the truck easier to drive? Could it be the current steering box is worn and just replacing it could fix my steering problem?
    Any help would be appreciated

They are a fight at low speeds, and yes there are power steering options for the D-50/Mighty max. Dumb question but did they do an alignment? Adding a few extra PSI to the front tires will lighten the feel.
