I am in the process of putting back together my 1990 mighty max and trying to find any information on the rear axle vent hose. There appears to be an insert into the top of the rear axle on the driver side. The connector is broken and the the opening appears plugged. Two questions:

1. Can the connector/insert be repaired or replaced?
2. Where else did it connect?

I am unable to find any information in my service manual or online. Any help would be appreaciated!
