    Upper steering column

So, I have a 92 mighty max 2.4 manual that I need to change the steering wheel on. Problem is, where the steering column nut would thread is completely dismembered by a previous owner as seen on pictures. I believe I found the correct replacement for the upper steering column assembly but can anyone verify that's what I'm looking for?
    Thanks

To add, the entire aftermarket steering wheel assembly just pops off of the teeth of the steering column pretty easily

No chance of getting a used one from a JY? It doesn't look like the internal upper shaft is listed as a separate component (like it was something they never intended on being replaced) but from what I'm getting from the part diagram it is only referring to the outer column housing/tube.

Going by the caption on the exploded diagram, "Part can be found as reference #5 in illustration", it's not clear if that part # MB412704 may be just the sleeve that the actual steering shaft rides in, or if it includes the shaft itself that you need to replace.

EDIT: Jinx! Also, seems like that upper steering shaft part may differ between RWD vs. 4WD, and power vs. manual steering.

I ended up having one pulled from a yard, just waiting to get back to LA to swap it out. Will post an update once swapped 🙏
