Does anyone know if a 4.6l v8 (from a 2002 Lincoln continental)
Will fit Inside a 92 d50?

it wont mount up to the trans if thats what your asking.

It'll fit. Guys are swapping 360 CI V8's into these trucks without using a sledgehammer. It will come down to exhaust layout to clear cross members and the frame, setting up steering links and oil pan clearance to the main cross member. Expect to make stuff to adapt the trans/engine combo (trans mount, engine mounts, modifying the floorpan and trans tunnel, radiator support etc) Engine bay room actually kinda generous for a relatively small truck

google 4.6 swap and you'll find detail threads of the 4.6 swap into smaller engine bays than a D50
seen perfectly good motors dumped.... should be able to grab one close to free.
They seem reliable. Fairly wide motor. Tranny tunnel likely need surgery
A buddy's crown vic was silky smooth & peppy. Didn't seem to mind pulling that barge around
If you can pull it off, plus get the gearing 'right' for your tire diameter.... should be a heck of a D50 daily
