    Antenna replacement

The antenna post on my 1990 4x4 is stripped and doesn’t have enough material left to cut new threads. Anyone tell me how the cable is routed and how much of a problem replacing it is going to be? Thanks!

They are a bit of a pain to route as it goes through the 'A' pillar and out of the dash frame in a corner (use a guide string to pull it through to make life easier). Good news though - Mitsubishi cheaped out with antennas and they are a generic 'A' pillar antenna you can pick up off eBay. Something like this will do the trick -

Copies of the OEM style antenna in chrome (Aerpro part# A122) are available in Oz as cheap as $10 USD but the shipping would suck
