    what is that spring thing on top of my diff housing?!? is it really necessary??

    It sorta has control over the brake distribution. When you put a load in the bed the spring stretches out and pulls a little lever on that block you see there with the lines going to it. Of course when you drop the truck it would be the same as putting a load in the bed, so if your dropped and still have the spring set-up your brake bias is probably jacked. Though im not sure how much it changes things. My macro cab was low enough I cut a hole in the bed floor so the bracket and spring wouldnt hit it. As far as I can remember, it stopped just fine.

    I suppose you could do either. The "right way" as most people would put it is take the whole thing out, cap it off at the distribution block, then put an adjustable prop. valve in the remaining rear brake line. But like I said, I cut a hole for it and it seemed to work fine.
