I have a 1988 mighty max G63b 2.0. I recently purchased it & started having idle issues. It went on to being coolant in The oil so I pulled the head hoping only the head gasket was cracked but found that the head had 2 cracks where cyl #4 is. I purchased a remanufactured head(with jet valves as my old head had.) & new felpro head gasket. After assembly & having all timing marks ligned up, (little notch on head right under valve cover, crank, & balance shaft.) distributor aligned with notch on gear pointing to #1 cyl, it would backfire out carb some & try to start up but not fully.
after looking back at the cam I noticed when having tdc the #1 intake valve is very tight & the exhaust is loose on the rocker, idk what that is about but I’ve been reading they both should be loose for them to be closed can someone verify this for me?
