My husband and I are new owners of a 1987 Power Ram 50 that needs a bit of TLC. We think the back end was originally gold in color and the cab was silver but it’s hard to tell since a previous owner sprayed some kind of rough texture tan paint all over it. It’s got a 5-speed with the 2H-4H-4L beside it. Someone put a (hopefully authentic) Weber carburetor on it and took out the whole EGR system, so we’ll have to see what else is going on under the hood lol
Hi and welcome to mightyram. If the PO has gone to the effort to delete the EGR garbage and install a legit Weber, you're ahead of the loop. If the carb has 'Weber' cast onto the top cover and/or the side, it's genuine. If it's a weird looking blue coloured die cast metal and no distinguishing marks, it'll be a knock-off (ahem - a 'licensed copy'...) As with all noob members, ask questions and post pics
I’ll need to look at the carb closer. I took the air filter off while I was spraying Sea Foam treatment into it earlier today to see if it would help any.
Bed liner...over bodywork...on a Boxster Did they guy need to make it heavier or something? I know the Boxster has a bunch of bad mechanical issues but wtf was he thinking
The Weber would be cast into the body of the carb probably too the right of that picture. You might need to remove the 4 bolts holding the Weber air filter plate.
