    Radiator Support Bracket/Shield

Does the bracket circled in the photo below serve any purpose/function? It is held on by two bolts and has 3 holes in it. I've gone through online photos and some have it, and some don't. All I can find for parts is "Shield: MB506110". I can't see that is it doing much of anything except possibly redirecting some air through the AC condenser so the air doesn't exit (escape) through the top of the condenser.

What's up with the position of your battery? Shouldn't it be to the right?
And does your air filter cover have a cut out?

Someone hatchetted the air cleaner assembly. And it looks like the wrong one for the truck anyway. Battery position is right for a Gen 1 truck (well, that's where mine is...)

LOL That photo isn't of my truck, but just one that I found online that showed the bracket. Thanks for the replies. :-)
