    CEL on and off whenever.

My cel has been poppi g on and off whenever it wants to. The only thing i can tell is, when i have parking or headlights on, the turn signal will make the cel engine light flash on and off with the t.signals. Maybe a ground somewhere? Does anybody recognize this symptom? No change in anything else i can tell when cel activates. Please advise.107854047_3047276065309784_587775562282987774_n.jpg Any of you other old heads remember doing this to the pep boys mannie, moe and jack match packs? Kinda sorta dates us right. Funny how they dont make them like that anymore. Not politically correct im sure. Later Max junkies.

I haven't looked but you can probably find a dongle to plug in there and a program to use on your smart phone or laptop. That's what I did when I had a 99 Passat.

You are pre 1996 mandate, so you dont have a true government required obd2 interface. Mitsubishi did however start putting in obd2 plug in 1994 for some vehicles. For example my Stealth has one in it and it works. Would be under the drivers dash if you did.

You need to put the ECM into diagnostic mode and count the CEL light flash sequence. We have the info here to do it.

    cchuckster,
Just went back and looked at the build sheet You posted in Your "mystery box " thread.
Build sheet shows California Emissions package equipped, so it could very well be OBD II equipped as stated above-
post some pictures of the data link connector.

How about some pictures of the left lower dash 'quadrant' past the steering column --- with the fuse panel cover removed
    THX!
