    Bench seat question

I removed the tracks on my bench seat to clean and I cant figure out how the linkage that connects the tracks is supposed to be routed. I thought it was simple enough so I didnt think I needed pictures for reference. I was wondering any body can take a picture of the bottom of their bench seat track and linkage. Thank you in advance!

I'm not sure how that wire/ linkage is routed to both tracks.

I can't remember exactly. But when I rebuilt mine the wire was obviously connected at each end to the mechanism on the track. I think it had a hog ring in the middle that attached it to some random point on the springs there. I would look along that steel brace that goes back to front for a spot to create a pivot point for that wire to have tension on both ends.

It came with a wire that holds it in place at the back of the seat but it has way too much slack. When I move the lever it only disengages the drivers side track and not the passenger. I'm pretty sure I installed it the way it came off it's just not working for some reason. I appreciate the advice 85Ram50. I will try a hog ring and see if that works.

Hold the wire on that brace and move it along until it has tension on both ends. I'm betting there will be a hole nearby for a hog ring to hold it.
