    A/c oil

    I have located the A/C tag under the hood and it only says 2lbs of R12 refrigerant. Does this system need oil?

    Yep. AFAIK all A/C's require oil as part of a regas and you have to ensure you either fully evacuate all oil from the system before a refill as some oils are not compatible with others, or use the exact matching oil.
