So, for those of us that don't have three or four hands, is there a trick to pressing out the pin for the shifter pivot ball? I have a new ball, and bushing, but can't get the pin to even move. My problem is trying to hold the shift lever, punch, and operating the press... Does the plate have to come off (i.e. disassemble the upper part of the shifter). I could fabricate a cradle to hold the shifter, but I would rather not if I don't have to. Any help would be appreciated!
