    transmission shaft

so i STILL have my engine in 1000 peices on the floor of my shop with god knows how many bolts and where they go. i noticed the input shaft on my 87 wiggles just a bit, the 82 is fine. they ARE different transmissions, one is a KM132, and one is a KM145. the difference is 1st and 2nd on the 87 is a bit shorter, and i prefer that gearing for the little I4.

i am wondering if i should swap the KM145 (preferred transmission) out for the 50k mile KM132, or if i should replace the input shaft bearing with a bushing (recommended by transmission specialist) or if the KM145 is completely fine.

    thanks! -paul

    A little wiggle is normal.
