Vacuum hose came off, can't find where it should go

    Hi, I have a 1985 L200 with a stock 2L 4G63 with an Aisan carb.

Vacuum hoses are a bit brittle on this one, so a few have come off. I've cut them and put them back. Going to buy a length that I keep in backup.

However, this one I've got no idea where it should go. Been searching multiple times, can't see any place for it to attach.

    Does anyone know?

    Thanks.

Where is it leading to? Have you removed the air filter assembly and had a look under it for any vacant vacuum barbs? Most countries have the Mikuni 32-35DIDTA type carbs. I think this is probably only the second truck engine I've sen fitted with the Aisin carb. I googled the Aisin 2 barrel carb vacuum hose layout and there are a number of different types - without a better look at your carb + manifold it's hard to tell.

It leads to where my finger is, the loose end is out of the picture. I've tried looking under the air filter assembly, there is just one that is occupied. Good idea in Googling the carb vacuum hose layout, I should try that. Thanks!

If you look on the hood there should be a vac diagram sticker.
The photo is to big we can not see it.

*right click on the pic to bring up the image menu and select view image. It'll be a full screen portrait shot.

What does the other end go to. Knowing that will help. Unless it's the lines that go to the air cleaner.

The end I'm pointing at is where it is connected, the other end is loose.

However, I found it! Disassembled the air filter housing and found a T joint underneath that was missing a hose, and there were another one that had come loose. I'm ordering more vacuum hose now to replace these crusty ones.

...had a feeling it was an air control circuit in the air filter. Easy fix - nice spotting
