Thanks to everyone and hope all is well!

I’ve searched everywhere and followed some write ups in regards to truck jerking on low gears.
Mainly on 1st to 2nd. Especially after cold start.

timing, fuel pressure, spark, all checked okay.
    checked cat; not plugged
    no CEL

no symptoms before it happened. Just one day it wouldn’t start.
new battery, same; replaced starter; fired up.
that’s when it started hesitating. When revving after

it suffers when cold but when warms up, drives okay-ish. Little to no hesitation
I noticed that the temp gauge doesn’t get to half even after a long idle or test drive
    coolant temp sensor?

I wanted to seek help before I start throwing parts in.
mechanic mentioned MAF sensor, TPS, distributor, injectors?

    thanks in advance.

I would do an engine error code check from the ECU and see if anything comes up. Only things I could offer as suggestions are to clean out the IAC, throttle body and the EGR valve. I think that it's possible the O2 sensor has gone out but you won't know without a code check. Good luck

Sounds more like a coil problem or sticking fuel regulator.

I found a huge improvement installing a new coil...

It wouldn't hurt to do a leak down test.
