With blocks getting EXTREMELY difficult to find, I would like to remove the chance of a failure.
I saw a EVO block with holes on both sides ONLY due to belt failures and because of the added stress on the back of the oil pump.
I have been looking at 4G64 Forklift engines and some have shafts and some without. It seems easier to source a new forklift engine versus rebuilding what i have.
I'm mulling over the situation.
But for now, I would like to removed the shafts as my engine has over 275,000 KM and I can imagine the beating they took over the years. The engine has a fresh timing belt 40,000 KM ago but unsure if the balance shaft belt was changed..
