Hey guys - In the process of reinstalling the power steering the PO never put back together after the engine swap. Got the pump, modified a bracket, got a reservoir on the way, and a new pressure line ordered. So here’s a couple questions: on the reservoir, which line is “in” from the box and “out” to the pump? I’m guessing this will be obvious once I have everything in hand, but my inability to find any pictures or schematics of our P/S systems is making me want an expert opinion.

Next - what fluid do ya’ll recommend? So far, I’ve found a few opinions, from Mitsu’s own blend to regular old P/S fluid, to ATF. I can’t help but figure the next step is going to be replacing some seals, but I need to get it pressurized to see what is going to leak where and then plan that next phase. Right now, still just a fun toy to play with and I’ve still got plenty of other stuff to tinker with. I love playing with old vehicles, but I have to be careful not to put $3,000 into a $1,000 truck.
