    1982 Mitsubishi L200 4X4

Hey, check out my 1982 2.0 manual 4x4.
I have owned this truck for around 7 years it now has 200,000kms on the clock and been fairly well maintained in its life.
It's relatively stock bar currency mods that I know of :
    Headers
    Bodywork
    interior
    Susspension upgrade
    rims/tyres 15inch

Work I would like to do:
    Roll bar
    Snorkle
    complete engine rebuild
Gearbox and running gear serviced or rebuilt
    Complete steering system rebuild
    all chassis points serviced
    Webber carb? (currently running rich)
    Possible lift kit?

I use this truck for 4x4ing. It is a very capable truck also never broken down or not started. I love it, my favorite vehicle of all time.

BTW I'm a motorcycle mechanic so will be doing the work myself and might not use the correct terminologybut would love tips and tricks

    Cheers for looking

    Welcome Puff
Your truck proves there was a time when style & function really meant something... I can see, hear and feel the words your truck is singing...

Hi and welcome to mightyram. That is a sharp looking L200! I wouldn't add a snorkle IMO - it's not a diesel and the L200 isn't bathtub water tight so crossing deep water would be disastrous for it. It would be difficult to add a snorkle intake to a Weber anyway. Just don't use an open element air filter on the Weber (we have a full section on Weber installs so you're covered) You using a cut down Rola roof rack on the cab? It fits really well and doesn't look out of place either. Post pics, ask questions and thanks for sharing

    Thanks for the replies
Reason for the snorkel is due to the many river crossing in the area and with change of seasons water levels can be unpredictable
I have had it almost submerged , water up over to the windscreen!! , luckily the wave/Jesus kept the water out of the intake ?, heaps came through the water vents tho! as for it being water tight, she surprisingly Never had a leak and have been through MANY deep-ish crossings . Not sure what it would look like with snorkel never seen one with a snorkel .
Roof rack was found in my mates workshop , found 2 to be overkill and it comes in handy for straping stuff down.

    @claych -
    1) Transmission # 4 speed manual

    3) Air conditioning ? nope
    4) Power steering ? nope

I have seen an L200 with a snorkle but it was a hack job. A shame to butcher nice clean guards. If your truck was more of a beater it wouldn't hurt as much lol. A moments silence for your dual cab... I don't think the US market got them. It looks like you have plenty of chances to test out your trucks' offroad capacity
