Mine has a secondary bypass is there anyway I can use one from the later models without it and run the vacuum line to another location?

there is also a adapter plate you can use as well but honestly just stick a cap on it or put a bolt in the hose or a screw or a nail if you're that anal about the factory equipment stuff

Check ebay and visually compare what vendors have on offer - be warned, some of the prices are 'optimistic'

there is one on Ebay for the 2.4, but it may not work and doesn't look like the dual vacuum one you need for California...

I may have one off a 79' somewhere in my parts I saved. its worth noting that the EGR valves are weird on these trucks in that there are two different size mounting patterns that look identical in pictures when looking for a gasket but they are different sizes, I went to buy a gasket for my 87' 2.6l and the gasket looked identical on the screen but when I got the gasket it was shrunken down in size so I had to use a different gasket possibly from an older truck but I can't say for sure now

the 2.0 EGR is smaller than the 2.6 EGR - that may be the issue with the different gaskets.
