    Crank Pulley Bolt

    Hi All,

I've got a 92 Mighty Max 4x4 with the 3.0 V6. On a recent drive home from work the bolt holding the harmonic balancer broke and sent the pulley flying onto the freeway. I was able to limp the truck home, but I need help tracking down the correct bolt and washer to hold on the harmonic balancer.

I looked around on a few different forums and came up with these Mitsubishi part numbers:

    1101A022 - Bolt
    MR994412 - Washer

Can anyone confirm or let me know what the correct bolt/washer is?

Thanks for any and all help.
    -James

Anybody? These parts are listed as fitting a 92 Mitsubishi Montero with the 3.0 V6. I don't see why it wouldn't work for the mighty.

Site has been down for a while and members don't always haunt the site (me excluded ). As long as it's optioned the same as your truck (A/C etc) the pulley from the Monty should match the MM - part # is the best indicator but I'd look on ebay and cross refer part numbers and listings. I'm not a V6 or a diesel guy. Most of my info is Gen 1 and some Gen 2 L4 engines.

I have a very similar story with my Mighty Max. Driving home on the freeway, get home only to find that the bolt is completely missing and the harmonic balancer is wedged between the body and the engine. Perhaps this a common plague for the 2nd gens? You said the above parts worked for you...did you have any trouble with re-installation? I'm worried mine may not have been as clean of a break and there may be some damage to the end of the crank.
