    92 MM 2.4 No power - Sluggish

    Good day.

so the truck quit on me. It wouldn’t start. Replaced the starter and battery, I got it to fire.
the problem after getting it to start is it’s now sluggish. Barely any power.

1st gear is not bad, but on 2nd it will jerk and sounds like a backfire.
it can barely make it to 20 mph.

Dec 2018 when the fuel pump failed and I replaced it and was running good until recently.
new plugs and fuel filter about a week ago.

    Distro timing is around 8

drove it with exhaust disconnected thinking it might be plugged; same issue

Cleaned the air box and maf

    any ideas?

    thanks

pul the ECM out and look inside for bad capacitors on the board. The ecm is on the right interior kick panel.

...and try to pull error codes from the ECM before removing it. It might throw you a clue as to what it's doing. But pennyman is on track - the ECM's are known to be the primary cause of sudden performance loss and running issues in EFI'd trucks.
