I am having a heck of a time finding an OSC 98698 core. Anyone know of where to get one or a replacement?
IDK that I need one yet but I am going to remove the core to check it and seems smart to have a plan in place.

I have an 86 4wd that I am about to part out - the heater core should be the same. No idea of condition yet...

I took it apart and let it soak in vinegar. When I flushed it with the hose water went right through. I now have heat that is more than luke warm. I managed to break the resistor while cleaning it. I got one yesterday but it failed to work so on a hunt today looking at what was supposed to be an 86 as one site said its resistor would work, it turned out to be a first gen double headlights and all so I grabbed the whole heater to protect it and a bunch of screws and bolts and a air cleaner cover that was in good shape with the smog stuff still on it. $20 total. So now I have a working heater and an extra sans resistor with core of unknown quality.
