    1992 Mighty Max, speedometer and odometer not working - any ideas why?

    Hi and welcome to mightyram. Have you just got this truck or you've owned it for a while? If you've only recently got it and it hasn't worked from the get go, there's a chance the PO pulled the instrument panel and goofed putting it back in. Option #2 - broken speedo cable (not tragic to fix). Option #3 - speedo has failed. This 'can' be fixed - my guess is the spline drive gear had failed which takes out the speedometer. Once the speedometer is non operational, so is the odometer. The trick is sourcing the failed spline gear, and then fitting it. They are fiddly to take out and install (only ever did one, not fun...)
