6g72 headbolt torquerizationing
So I got the heads back on, & I have the head bolt torque sequence, but I'm getting
a lot of different specs & procedure....
Some say torque then loosen, re tighten. With stretch type bolts I dont like the sound of that....
Who's got the skinny on proper sequence, torque, etc.????
Tanks brus, I really gotta get a book for this truck....

In looking for cylinder head bolts for a 2.4 I found bolts for the 6 cyl available. I am thinking that they are "torque to yield" and should be replaced. I did not find bolts for the 2.4

I’ve reused them on several of my 3.0 12 valve motors I’ve had to do head gaskets on. I just torque in two stages. I do 50-60% of the required and then come back after and do them all the way. Been fine so far. Just follow the correct sequence.
