That was great...LOL
I would have used a V-twin and tried to make the factory clutch work...
just because you 'can' do it doesn't mean you should. You are meant to be making an improvement, not turn it into a target for ridicule - there are enough guys hating on cars and trucks without rubbing salt in.
If you are going to do a small engine swap, this is how it gets done...

yep, not worth my time if that's not the case. Guy was probably bored. Seems pleased he pulled it off. Whatever turns u on, ehjust because you 'can' do it doesn't mean you should. You are meant to be making an improvement
Kudos to that kid. Thats ingenious for his age.
Hehehe, awesome .
I wonder what the kid would come up with if He had a large budget.
I think it's pretty great. Is it pointless and a little silly? Maybe, but he's a young kid and he's having fun, I'm impressed by what he did.
And, he did make an improvement: the truck had been left for dead, and now is up and running again (maybe not running very fast, but at least walking...). He will go on to do some really cool stuff, I bet.
Yeah, the end result aside you have to give him kudos for giving it a shot. We can only hope this doesn't end up in a crusher because the kid got bored and abandoned it. Wait til he finds out what a good transmission is worth and then looks at the butcher job he's done. He could've saved himself some grief by cutting the centre out of the original clutch and used something to clamp it to the input shaft. Still not pretty, but nothing gets sacrificed in the process.
